To make these crunchy cups, start by combining peanut butter and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.

Heat together

Heat the mixture in the microwave, stirring halfway through. Next, add the cocoa powder to the melted mixture and stir until it’s thoroughly combined.

Personally, my kids loved these treats. When my daughter asked if they were healthy, I explained that while they weren’t specifically healthy, they only contain a few simple ingredients. Who can resist the combination of peanut butter and chocolate with crispy cereal? She agreed, “These are so good, Mom, I better stop.”

Crispy Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups



  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 4 cups crispy rice cereal



  • Directions:

    1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine peanut butter and chocolate chips. Heat in the microwave for about 1 minute or until the mixture is melted, stirring halfway through.

    2. Add cocoa powder to the melted mixture and stir until well combined.

    3. Gently fold in the crispy cereal until evenly coated with the mixture.

    4. Using a spoon (or cookie dough scoop), scoop the mixture into mini silicone cupcake molds, pressing down lightly to pack the mixture.

    5. Place the filled molds in the freezer to set for at least 30 minutes.

    6. Once set, remove the cups from the molds and enjoy as a sweet treat after a meal or as a snack.
